Did You Know?

Did you know 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, and more than 246,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2016?  As staggering as those statistics may sound there are over 3 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. alone. The key to survivorship is early detection, diagnosis and treatment.

Windsong Comprehensive Breast Care (WCBC) in Williamsville would like women to know the importance of being aware of their bodies and any changes they notice. Yearly Mammograms are recommended for women over the age of 45 and earlier screenings should be discussed with your doctor depending on the history of breast cancer in a person’s family.

Windsong Comprehensive Breast Care provides women with all the services they need from same-day results of mammography and biopsies, genetic screening for hereditary risk of breast or ovarian cancer, breast surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments all at Windsong Medical Park.

Windsong Comprehensive Breasts Care is the first Nationally Accredited center for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in Western New York. At WCBC, breast cancer patients will receive an interdisciplinary approach to their care from early detection, rapid diagnosis and consultation, to leading edge treatment options and a survivorship program that includes nutrition, social work and exercise programs.

If you or a loved one is diagnosed with Breast Cancer, WCBC will provide you with the support and services you require with board certified physicians and staff, including certified breast patient navigators that will help guide you during this difficult time.
